Domestic Assistant – Carlingford Lodge Care Home

Location: Carlingford Lodge Care Home, Warrenpoint, County Down, Northern Ireland.

About the Home

Carlingford Lodge Care Home provides a warm and supportive environment in a picturesque coastal setting. It offers nursing care for 58 residents across three specialised units: General Nursing, Dementia Nursing, and General Residential.

The Role

The Domestic Assistant supports the Housekeeper to maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. Working closely with care teams, you will help create a comfortable setting where residents feel safe and cared for.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure the expected cleanliness and hygiene standards are achieved throughout the home
  • Cover domestic duties as assigned
  • Identify and report any damage, faults or other issues to maintenance or management
  • Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule
  • Use and store cleaning products in accordance to COSHH regulations
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager or Housekeeper
Required Criteria
  • A good standard of both verbal and written English
  • Relevant experience for the role
  • The Right to Work in the UK
Desired Criteria
  • Previous care home experience
  • Basic knowledge of COSHH, Health and Safety and Fire Regulations

Salary

£12.21 per hour.
