Our fifth-generation Spectacles, powered by Snap OS, showcase how standalone, see-through AR glasses make playing, learning, and working better together.We’re looking for a Display Systems Architect to join the Spectacles team to drive the development for the next generation of displays at Snap Inc! **What you’ll do:*** Lead a multi-faceted engineering team to design and define the architecture of next generation display systems from concept to production.* Evaluate and provide recommendations for trade-offs between architecture, performance, manufacturability, etc* Author and maintain architecture and design specifications**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities*** Direct experience of semiconductor manufacturing covering:* + Process Engineering across the wide range of fabrication techniques found in CMOS and/or MEMs fabrication. + Product Engineering of complex high density microelectronics. + Yield improvement and management techniques. + Implementation of recognised reliability standard tests. + Micro display characterisation* Experience managing a diverse, highly trained engineering team within a semiconductor setting.* The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in basic electronics, micro-optical systems, and knowledge of the digital pathway of image data within complex systems, such as those used in AR glasses.**Minimum Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related field.* A minimum of ten years experience working in the semiconductor industry leading cross-functional teams**Preferred Qualifications:*** PhD or master’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related field* 15+ years experience working in the semiconductor industry leading cross-functional teamsIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some ."Default Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration.
