Marden Medical Centre is a busy GP practice committed to providing high-quality care to our patients.

We are looking for a reliable and organised Dispensary Assistant to join our practice team. The successful candidate will support the safe and accurate dispensing of medications and provide excellent service to our patients.

We’re seeking availability for 10–15 core hours on Monday and Friday with flexibility to provide additional cover during annual leave and staff sickness. There can be some flexibility with hours for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispensing medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and practice protocols
• Processing repeat prescriptions and managing medication requests
• Ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock of medicines and supplies
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting audit processes
• Providing a courteous and helpful service to patients, both in person and over the phone
• Working closely with clinicians and the wider practice team

About You

• NPA Dispensing Assistant or equivalent qualification
• Core hours will be Monday and Friday with
• Previous experience in a dispensary, pharmacy, or GP practice
• Previous experience of using Proscript, Golden Tote and Emis desirable but not essential
• Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
