A local educational institution in Wales is seeking a caring and motivated Dining Assistant for its Residential Unit. This part-time role involves preparing evening tea for pupils with additional learning needs, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Qualifications

Hours:Part Time 6 hours per week (worked Monday to Thursday).

To start as soon as possible, the GoverningBody wish to appoint a caring, motivated Dining Assistant toprovide food for the pupils that attend our Residential Unit.The Residential Unit is an extension of the school where pupilswith Additional Learning Needs stay the night to develop andenhance their life skills. This role involves preparing eveningtea for the pupils, for which, you will have access to the schoolkitchen.

The hours of work would be 2.30pm until 4pmMonday to Thursday and will be term time only.

This position is temporary in the firstinstance (with a view to becoming permanent)

The successful candidate will:

  • Have Level 2 in food hygiene / safetyand catering or be willing to attend training for thisqualification.
  • Be enthusiastic about working withchildren.
  • Be sensitive to the needs of pupils withadditional needs.
  • Undertake relevant paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance of Health and Safetyand Food Safety Regulations
