The BUILD Charity will be 60 years old in 2027 and is building a team to help it celebrate by raising awareness and income - as well as partying hard!
The BUILD Charity will reach its Diamond Anniversary in 2027 and is building a team of volunteers to help it celebrate and create a lasting legacy. Our aim is to maximise opportunities throughout 2027 to raise our community profile with people who can use our services, people who want to volunteer to support our delivery and people who want to invest time, money or skills to help us in our journey forward.
We are looking to recruit from within, and outside of our volunteer teams, a project team with the skills to plan, impliment and evaluate a programme of activities between October 2026 and December 2027 that celebrates and shares our achievements at the same time as attracting new revenues and interest.
We are looking for people with experience of managing similar projects who can demonstrate the skills to engage with our members (adults with disabilities), other volunteers, carers, staff, trustees and local community businesses and organisations who may want to partner with us, or sponsor some of the activities.
We need people who can visualise and inspire, plan, budget and make it happen. You don't have to have all of those skills, as we are adopting a team approach, but we would love to talk to you if you have a passion for projects and a passion for promotion.
In return we offer you the opportunity for a great experience, testimonials to carry forward and a huge sense of satisfaction that you will have been part of our history.
We have some ideas already in place, which we can discuss with you based on similar roles and plans from our 50th anniversary in 2017, when two UEA Undergraduates took on the leadership role, and it changed their career paths. At least one is now working in Event Management in London.
For an informal chat, register your interest and we will arange a chat to explore the mutual benefits and potential.
