We are currently on the lookout for a Diagnostic Technician to join our established team at Snows SEAT, Poole.
Your day

As a Diagnostic Technician, you will perform a variety of workshop work in an efficient and safe manner. The aim is to meet customer requirements and maximise workshop utilisation and productivity.

Your day will include:

  • Performing routine servicing of vehicles in accordance with brand technical standards.
  • Undertaking air‑conditioning system servicing and repairs.
  • Working in accordance with brand and dealership processes.
  • Ensuring that the working environment is kept clean and devoid of any working practice which may be hazardous.
  • Diagnosing and undertaking general repairs to vehicles including MOT repairs.
  • Performing diagnostic investigations into vehicle electrical system faults, providing reports on faults found.
  • Carrying out welding repairs to vehicles.
  • Obtaining estimates and ordering car parts to resolve the vehicle issues.
  • Liaising with customers where appropriate, updating them on the status of their vehicle checks.
Have you got what it takes?
  • Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation
  • Previous work experience in a franchise dealership
  • Highly skilled in fault diagnosis
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to delivering first class customer service.
  • Able to plan, organise self and meet agreed work deadlines.

Hours of work

Monday to Friday - 4 days on, one day off (10-hour shift)
Saturday 08:30 - 12:30 (1 in 4 rota)
