Job summary

A leading food business in the UK is seeking a Despatch Operative to join their team. This role offers a pay rate of £13.06 per hour, with additional weekend shift allowances. Qualifications

  • Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Picking, storing and documenting products.
  • Quality checking, wrapping and palletising products.
  • Stacking frozen and chilled products.
  • Loading and unloading trailers.
  • Using hand scanners to log products into the system.
  • Picking, checking and rotating products based on the daily plan.
  • Manual handling which may involve lifting equipment and products up to 20kg.

About the Role:

Working Hours

Tuesday – Saturday 06:00 – 15:00

About the role

As a Despatch Operative you’ll music with fresh and frozen meat products, helping to palletise, wrap, store and load products for delivery. You will be working in an energetic, noisy FMCG factory environment that is refrigerated in some areas and processes short–s魚 shelf‑life products where hygiene standards are critical.

What you’ll need for success
  • Licence or xmlhttp experience with MHE equipment and ability to demonstrate competence.
  • Good level of English and basic numeracy skills.
  • The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
  • Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks.
  • Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
