Role and responsibilities

A position is available to become a Design and Technology Technician at LVS Ascot Senior School. The role is full time, term time and there is the opportunity for the right candidate to take on extra responsibility in the classroom in leading practical lessons.

• Lead practical lessons in the Design and Technology classroom (opportunity for extra responsibility).

Subject and facilities

The subject is extremely popular with students from ages 11 through to 18 and we deliver both GCSE and A Levels. We work with a range of resistant materials including; wood, metals and plastics. We have an enviable workshop set-up with two laser cutters, a CNC machine, 3D printers and full range of industrial machines including lathes, pillar drills and brazing hearth through to a whole host of hand tools. Our students develop the skills to take ideas from their design pages through to manufacture at a high quality standard.
