Job summary

A leading construction company in Birmingham seeks a Design Manager to manage design consultants, ensure timely delivery of information, and mentor design co‑ordinators. Candidates should possess a degree in a construction-related discipline and at least six years of industry experience. This is a full-time role, aimed at mid-senior level professionals in the construction industry.

Qualifications

  • Minimum six years’ construction industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage design consultants and sub‑consultants to ensure timely delivery of all design information for site execution.
  • Manage design co‑ordinators and act as a mentor.
  • Input into the Employers Requirement/Contractor Proposal Compatibility.
  • Assist the Design Co‑ordinator during the construction phase.
  • Chair and minute design meetings ensuring production of information in line with design.
  • Understand different client procurement routes.
  • Experience of working at pre‑construction stage.

Design Manager – SISK Group

Join our Sisk Infrastructure business on an upcoming public realm and highways scheme in Birmingham. Reporting into the project team, you will fully understand and manage the design requirements of the tender/project and provide assistance and guidance to design co‑ordinators where and as appropriate.

  • Manage design co‑ordinators and act as mentor to them for the projects they are involved in
