A compassionate support organization seeks a Deputy Team Leader in New Alresford to aid a young man with complex physical and psychological needs. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, planning outdoor activities, and driving an adapted vehicle. Deputy Team Leader: Up to 128 hours per 4‑week cycle (average 36 hours per week including Deputy Team Leader hours). Flexibility may be required on the start and finish times to meet Tristan's individual needs. To participate in the on‑call rota alongside the Team Leader and Nurse Advisor. Part‑time applications accepted.
Support Worker: Various shifts available to include days and nights. Flexibility may be required on the start and finish times to meet Tristan's individual needs on different days due to activities.
Bank Support Worker: Bank hours also available to cover absences of the current team.
Deputy Team Leader – £16.50 per hour Monday to Friday Days and Waking Nights, £18.50 per hour Weekend Days and Waking Nights, £NLW (£12.21 per hour for those age 21+) Weekday Sleeping Nights 11pm‑7am, £NLW + £1 (£13.21 per hour for those age 21+) Weekend sleeping nights 11pm‑7am. On standby shift paid at £31.20 per shift.
Support Worker – £13.23 per hour Monday to Friday Days and Waking Nights, £15.44 per hour Weekend Days, £17.64 per hour, Bank Holidays, £NLW (£12.21 per hour for those age 21+), Weekday Sleeping Nights 11pm‑7am, £NLW + £1 (£13.21 per hour for those age 21+), Weekend sleeping nights 11pm‑7am. On standby shift paid at £31.20 per shift. *there is a pay review pending for this role*
Driver required: Essential (will need own car to get to work as the client lives in a rural setting with no public transport).
Driving Clients Car: Yes, our client's adapted vehicle which is automatic.
Using Own Vehicle for work purposes: Essential to get to and from work as client is not near any public transport links, and to attend training.
Essential Experience: Previous experience of working with children/young adults with neuro disability.
Desirable: Experience of and qualifications in caring for children/young people with severe disabilities. PEG experience.
Pets: 1 family dog, very friendly but does bark.
Accommodation (while on duty): Fully adapted family home, with separate carer's entrance and carer's room and kitchen facilities.

Start Date: ASAP (subject to satisfactory employment checks).
Tristan is a young man born in 2000, who due to an injury at birth has complex physical, psychological and communication needs. Tristan thoroughly enjoys being outdoors and requires help to plan his weekly outdoor activities such as theatre trips, shopping and day services. You will need to be able to drive his adapted vehicle. He is gastrostomy fed and dependent on his wheelchair for mobility. He requires assistance with personal care tasks, activities of daily living, leisure pursuits, and may need 2:1 care due to moving and handling requirements. The Deputy Team Leader will assist the Team Leader, run the care team in their absence, manage rota coverage, and be on call for staff shortages. The Support Workers will support Tristan with daily living, community outings, and driving the wheelchair‑adapted vehicle. The role demands calmness, proactive enthusiasm, good organisation, effective communication, patience, tact, understanding, warmth and compassion.
