A leading technology firm in Chester is seeking a Deputy Security Manager to support compliance with national and international laws and security policies. The role involves producing security reports, providing training, and coordinating security services. Enrichment Technology Company Limited are recruiting for a Deputy Security Manager. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will support the Security Manager to ensure ETC Ltd operations are compliant with national and international law, regulations and requirements.

Key Accountabilities
  • Ensure ETC Ltd operates in a manner that is compliant with national and international law, regulations and requirements
  • Ensure ETC Ltd operates in a manner that complies with ETC security policies
  • Report to the Senior Information Risk Owner and the Head of Group Security any security failure of compliance and if required report to the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) Civil Nuclear Security (CNS)
  • Maintain close links with the Office for Nuclear Regulation and act as the interface between them and ETC Ltd
  • Produce written security reports, instructions and procedures
  • Provide security education and training to ETC Ltd employees, contractors and suppliers
  • Coordinate the provision of externally provided security services to ETC Ltd e.g. guarding services
  • Coordinate the physical security of ETC Ltd buildings and their contents
  • Coordinate the cyber security of any UK based elements of Information Communication Technology
  • Carry out security inspections and audits of ETC Ltd, other ETC sites and any UK based location where ETC interests are handled
  • Coordinate the process to obtain and maintain security clearances issued by the Office for Nuclear Regulation for ETC Ltd employees, contractors and suppliers
  • Coordinate the process of controlling access to information and material based around security clearances issued by the Office for Nuclear Regulation or their equivalent Government bodies located in countries where ETC operates
  • Attend specialist training courses which includes those ran by the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure
  • Close liaison with ETC Security Managers, Export Control officers and Safeguards Managers that are based internationally at other ETC sites
  • Coordination of ETC Ltd Export Controls to ensure compliance with national and international standards
  • Coordinate ETC Ltd Nuclear Safeguards to ensure compliance with International Atomic Energy Agency and Euratom standards
  • Coordinate European Commission compliance regulations relevant to ETC Ltd
Experience & Qualifications
  • Good quality Degree
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Security role with a working knowledge of UK national security standards, preferably in the Nuclear industry
  • Proven history in all security disciplines including Physical, Personnel, Document and IT security
  • Excellent communication & influencing skills including experience of providing training
  • Effective team working, influencing multifunctional and multicultural interfaces
  • Forward thinking and confident in identifying and implementing changes
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to other ETC sites
