Salary: £28,850 - £39,000 + up to 10% bonus & benefits

How will I make a difference?

You will assist in driving this goal by the processing of large datasets. You will provide data‑orientated technical expertise to a busy operational department. You will take repetitive processes and automate them where appropriate, to ensure the handling of large datasets is streamlined, to increase efficiency and allowing the department to scale to meet future demand.

About the role

The primary role of the Data Quality Manager will be to manage a team of EPIC Analysts conducting activities to support the EPIC team in achieving its objective of improving the quantity and quality of data held in the EPIC database.

The Data Quality Manager will also oversee the team’s activities for the completion of requests for data and reports from Valpak Consulting and other Valpak operational teams. The EPIC Assistant Manager will lead a sub‑section of the team to ensure EPIC data is accurate and can be used to support Valpak and our clients with trend analysis and insight into packaging and products put on to the market. They will also oversee the team and be responsible for internal projects such as VDI weighing project and the In‑House Weighing app.

  • Advanced Excel Skills are desirable
  • Must have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience of analysing and manipulating large volumes of data
  • An interest in environmental issues is desirable
  • Excellent planning, scheduling, and organisation skills
  • Collaborative working style
  • Numerical/scientific qualification at A‑Level (or equivalent) or above
  • Must be educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Full UK Manual Driving License
