Overview

The team

Kraken Digital Asset Exchange’s Staked team, now part of Kraken Institutional, specialises in enabling non‑custodial staking solutions for institutional clients. Staked offers staking services across 40+ proof‑of‑stake blockchains, managing billions in delegated assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Extract and organise data from multiple blockchains using RPC, API, or smart contract calls
  • Develop and maintain the software stack for collecting and indexing transaction data for efficient consumption
  • Maintain a reliable API to provide comprehensive account histories and ensure data is auditable and meets SLAs
  • Track and monitor public blockchain sources and find necessary data for analysis
  • Document data extraction processes and methodologies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 3‑5+ years of experience with Python and SQL in data‑intensive environments
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and other components of our tech stack (Typescript, Rust, AWS Athena, Apache Airflow)
  • Strong experience with software engineering principles, code readability, and testing
  • Experience with SQL databases and query performance tuning
  • Knowledge of basic web protocols and experience with API development is a plus
  • Ability to track down public source code and identify necessary data sources
  • Experience with blockchain nodes and eagerness to analyse blockchain data, passion for decentralised tech and drive to advance the industry
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
