Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to help deliver transformational change within our Cyber Security Programme. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment on projects that deliver technical and business change across the Cyber Security Programme.
What you’ll be doing
- Working on a range of projects that deliver business and technical change within the Cyber Security programme.
- Working on projects end to end from discovery and requirements gathering through to implementation.
- Providing support and coaching to Business Analysts you are working with.
- Collaborating with those around you, providing estimates for your tasks, input into planning, timely progress updates, and input into project risks and issues.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, solve problems, and implement innovative solutions.
We need you to have
- API Integration & Automation: Strong experience in pulling data from RESTful APIs, handling authentication (OAuth, API keys), and automating data pipelines.
- Data Engineering & ETL: Proficiency in transforming, cleaning, and merging datasets from multiple sources.
- Security Tooling Familiarity: Understanding of common security platforms (e.g., SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, identity platforms) and their data outputs.
- Power BI Expertise: Ability to design and maintain dynamic dashboards.
- Cloud & Storage Knowledge: Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), including secure storage and access to data (e.g., Blob Storage, Key Vault).
- Data Governance & Security: Awareness of data sensitivity, encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements in a security context.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Clear communication skills to work with security teams and document data flows, schemas, and dashboard logic.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with IaC tools (especially for provisioning and managing Azure resources used in data workflows).
First class interpersonal skills, coupled with strong influencing abilities and a can-do attitude to stay focused and be highly organized as you manage your own workload to deliver the right business outcome.
Experience / exposure to Cyber Security Risks, Tools and Processes
Successful implementation of Cyber Security Metrics and Reporting using automation and pipeline tools.
