Cyber Security Analyst

RPS Abingdon-On-Thames, England, United Kingdom

This is a remote position based anywhere in the UK, with occasional travel required to offices across the UK including Abingdon.

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our dynamic Technology Team. You will maintain SecOps solutions, controls, and processes across the organisation and liaise with business units to ensure compliance with corporate standards. Strong communication and partnership skills are essential as you will work closely with cross‑functional teams to mitigate risks.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Cyber Security policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Implement and manage security monitoring tools and systems to detect and respond to security events
  • Identify and assess potential security risks and vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Monitor security logs, alerts, and reports identifying potential security incidents or anomalies
  • Provide support to regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to security policies and controls
  • Provide reporting on security incidents, compliance status and risk assessments
Your Skills and Experience
  • Experience in similar cyber security roles, with experience in implementing security frameworks (e.g. NIST, CAF, ISO)
  • Prior hands‑on experience with Vulnerability Management & Threat Intelligence
  • Experience contributing to enterprise‑level security initiatives
  • Third‑party vendor relationship experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
