Customer Service Advisor – Student Accommodation

Customer Service Advisor

Location : Hollis Croft, Sheffield

Salary : £12,694.5 per annum (£13.95 per hour) with overtime paid at 1.25X hourly rate

Hours : Average of 17.5 hours per week (contracted to 910 hours annually) between 8am to 8pm.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role you will provide excellent customer service, respond to resident enquiries, resolve issues, manage payments and maintain accurate records. You will also support day‑to‑day operations, assist with events and community engagement, and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

  • A People Person – friendly, approachable, and great at building relationships.
  • Confident providing exceptional resident experience, handling enquiries, and resolving issues.
  • A teamplayer who thrives in a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • Tech savvy – ability to learn new systems quickly and have good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Organised and detail‑oriented, with strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable with sales, taking payments, following processes, and keeping accurate records.
  • Resilient, with the ability to stay calm under pressure, particularly during busy periods.
  • No prior property experience? No problem! We’re looking for enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a passion for great customer service.
  • Solutions oriented, with the ability to think on your feet.

This role follows an annualised hours model, meaning your hours will be distributed flexibly throughout the year to meet business and seasonal demands (peak season is July – September where increased hours will be required). However, your salary remains consistent every month. Details will be discussed at interview.
