This role involves handling inquiries via phone and email, tracking and updating customer cases, and escalating issues as necessary. Roam is a rapidly growing EV charging infrastructure business with a mission to Electrify your Everyday.

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Customer Service Advisor to join our EV charging support team. You will be the first point of contact for customers, providing excellent service, resolving queries, and supporting users of our EV charging network.

Where does this role sit?

This role sits within our Operations department, and will work closely alongside our Technical Support, Logistics, Data, and Dev teams.

What will you be doing?
  • Handling customer enquiries via phone, email, and online ticketing systems
  • Supporting customers with EV charging queries, faults, and general account issues
  • Logging, tracking, and updating customer cases accurately using internal systems
  • Providing clear, professional, and timely communication to customers
  • Escalating technical or complex issues to the relevant teams when required
  • Following company processes and adhering to service-level agreements (SLAs)
  • Maintaining a positive and customer-focused approach at all times
  • Weekend on call periodically reviewing tickets to ensure no significant issues arising or escalating where applicable
Who are we looking for?

We are seeking candidates with the following:

  • Previous customer service experience (essential)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when handling complaints
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using IT systems and learning new platforms
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Team player, positive attitude

You'll likely be a good fit if you have:

  • Experience in a technical, utilities, or EV-related environment
  • Interest in electric vehicles or sustainability
  • Experience working in a call centre or support desk environment
