About The Role

Falmouth University are looking for a dynamic Curriculum Developer to collaboratively coordinate a range of curriculum development activities across our portfolio offer. With a strong understanding of pedagogic theory and methodologies, along with excellent relationship management skills, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our educational offerings. Working separately from our existing Curriculum Developer on discrete activities but coordinating centrally through the Portfolio Development Manager.

In this exciting role, you will provide knowledgeable guidance on all aspects of course development, including monitoring and advising on course quality and standards, learning outcomes, assessments, and inclusive curriculum design. Your insights will be invaluable as you collaborate with Course Leaders, Heads of Subject, and Faculty Deans to further develop contemporary creative pedagogies and impactful assessment practices at Falmouth University.

Your assistance, advice, and guidance will be instrumental in supporting our academic teams in planning and meeting key course development deadlines, emphasising pedagogy, quality, and standards in all aspects of course development.

Under the guidance of the Portfolio Development Manager, the Curriculum Developers co-develop and monitor comprehensive course action plans, focusing on process improvements, retention action planning, continuous improvement, and module evaluation. In this way, your efforts will directly contribute to improving NSS and other key student outcomes performance metrics.

About You

We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:

  • Recent and/or relevant experience of curriculum design / course design, including design of assessment, ideally gained in Higher Education or similar educational field.
  • Well-developed Digital literacy linked with curriculum development / design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to adapt to stakeholders on all levels
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

This is a fixed term for two years, full-time, 35 hours a week position across Monday-Friday. We operate a hybrid flexible approach to working with the ability to work at home and on campus each week, it would usually be 2 days per week on campus.

The closing date for the position is Sunday 1 February 2026.

Interviews will take place week commencing 9 February 2026.
