Your Day to Day

People

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor departmental managers and teams to achieve high performance and staff satisfaction
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and development programs
  • Maintain effective communication channels and foster teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and hotel policies; address employee relations issues promptly

Guest Experience

  • Ensure the highest standards of guest service and satisfaction across all departments
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements
  • Collaborate with front office, housekeeping, and F&B for seamless operations
  • Oversee guest issue resolution and develop guest service programmes to exceed brand standards

Financial

  • Develop and manage the hotel’s operational budget and financial targets
  • Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Analyze financial reports and performance metrics for decision-making
  • Oversee inventory management and procurement; work with Sales & Marketing on revenue growth

Responsible Business

  • Ensure compliance with IHG corporate social responsibility and sustainability initiatives
  • Implement health and safety standards
  • Promote energy efficiency and waste reduction; engage with the local community
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements

Requirements

Required criteria

  • 3 years hotel/guest service experience with at least 2 years in a management capacity
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Flexible, with genuine willingness to help guests and colleagues
  • IT literacy in Microsoft Office

Desirable criteria

  • Previous experience as an Operations Manager in a similar-sized property
  • Degree or equivalent in Hotel and Tourism Management
  • Experience in a branded hotel environment (IHG, etc.)
  • Experience in a conference and banqueting hotel
