Creative Support Worker

The Remix is an inclusive youth performance company open to young people age 12‑17, both disabled and non‑disabled, from across Dorset. The Premix is a similar group set up for 5‑11 year olds. More recently, we have established a new group called The Originals for young adults aged 18 +. The Remix members include young people with physical and sensory impairments, young people who are learning disabled and non‑disabled young people, all with a love of performance and the willingness to stretch themselves and have fun.

We celebrate individuality, creativity and confidence.

Supporting young people to take part in active sessions, encouraging participation and helping them express their ideas.

Providing emotional support, helping young people feel safe, welcomed and confident.

Taking care of the children and young people’s welfare needs.

Working with the existing care team.

📅 Time and Diary Commitment

Sessions take place on Sundays twice a month and during school holidays. Employment is on a casual basis and you don’t need to be available for every session. However availability for our Easter holiday workshop sessions (7 th , 8 th and 9 th April ) is preferred.

The Remix meet in venues in the East and West of the County. Our current locations are St Osmunds Sports Centre in Dorchester and the Reef Youth Club in Colehill, Wimborne. We also hold Easter and Summer workshops at Coastland College in Weymouth. Car sharing is available for those unable to drive.

Competitive hourly rate depending on role and experience: £12.50 per hour + holiday pay and travel allowance.
