CPD Business Development Officer, Research & Innovation (RAI144A)
We support academic and other colleagues in the provision of professional development courses, conferences and other related activities aimed at an external audience. Expertise includes Professional Conference Organising (PCO) Services; financial planning; course and event development and delivery; event management and the provision of advice. We work with colleagues from the University of Aberdeen, other Higher Education Institutes (HEI’s) and external organisations on events delivered in the region, throughout the UK and online.
This is an opportunity to join the team as a Business Development Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to meet business demand. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with business / financial acumen and experience of event or project management.
The post holder will be directly responsible for developing the University of Aberdeen’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) business, with the aim of increasing institutional CPD income.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6 Salary Scale, £38,784 - £46,049 per annum, pro rata (based on working 0.6 FTE) and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
