Location:: Dumfries Academy, Academy Street, Dumfries, DG1 1DD## Job DescriptionCook 1 (15/3016)Dumfries Academy£9,037.43 - £9,077.67You will be required to work 15.5 hours per week, 38 Weeks per year.Monday – FridayWorking Times: to be discussedFacilities Services (Catering) are looking for a Cook 1 (General Catering Assistant) that can assist the Catering Manager in the kitchen at Dumfries Academy whilst carrying out the general catering tasks associated with the delivery of school meals.You must be an energetic and enthusiastic person that will carry out the following tasks:* Light food preparation* Serve meals* Setting up and decanting of dining room* Setting up service area* Cash handling as and when required* Dishwashing and General kitchen duties* Clearing down and cleaning kitchens and staff rest areas* Carry out electronic paperworkInitial training will include Basic Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness.Kitchen experience is not necessary as full training will be given if required.This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
