Location: Bingham

Octavian Security is a trusted security services provider with a strong focus on professionalism, reliability, and client satisfaction. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Control Room Supervisor to join our team and ensure smooth, efficient operations within our busy 24/7 Control Room.

Role Overview

As a Control Room Supervisor you will supervise and coordinate the activities of Control Room operations, ensuring officers adhere to company policies and procedures, while managing site visits, keyholding responsibilities, and supporting compliance and service delivery.

Personal Qualities

The ideal candidate will have a good standard of general education, strong verbal and written communication skills, and must demonstrate a professional and calm manner under pressure. They will be IT literate, with the ability to use monitoring and reporting systems confidently.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, responsible, and show initiative in responding to incidents or issues. A high level of integrity and attention to detail is essential, alongside the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

We expect the individual to be methodical and accurate, maintaining a flexible and proactive approach to work, while demonstrating leadership and the ability to support a team environment.

Key Tasks
  • To monitor control room systems and maintain effective communication with officers and sites.
  • To carry out welfare checks and ensure officers are present, alert, and performing as required.
  • To ensure all control room documentation is completed accurately and kept up to date.
  • To check and confirm that officers are wearing correct uniform and PPE where applicable.
  • To conduct site visits, completing compliance and welfare checks, and reporting findings to management.
  • To respond to alarm activations, calls for assistance, and other operational events as appropriate.
  • To handle and manage keys securely, maintaining accurate key logs and access control procedures.
  • To elevate serious incidents in line with company protocols and notify the appropriate manager.
  • To log and report absences, lateness, and operational breaches by officers.
  • To support the preparation of rosters and shift handover documentation.
  • To participate in the continuous improvement of control room systems and processes.
  • To ensure full compliance with company policies, SIA licensing requirements, and Health & Safety standards.
Requirements
  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence (essential)
  • Full valid UK driving licence (essential)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, effective decisions
  • Flexible approach to working hours (including nights and weekends)
