Highland and Islands Blood Bikes is seeking a Control Manager to lead and support its home based volunteer controller team, a vital part of the charity’s life saving service across the Highlands and Islands.
This role plays a key part in managing the interface between service requests and the volunteer riders and drivers who respond to those calls.
As Control Manager, you will provide leadership and support to the volunteer controller team, ensuring the smooth coordination of requests for service and responses from riders and drivers.
You will be part of the wider management team, contributing to decision making, problem solving, and the development of new ideas and opportunities.
The role requires confidence using IT systems and apps, good attention to detail, and the ability to manage information accurately and calmly.
This is a volunteer position with variable hours.
The role can be worked flexibly around other commitments and may suit recently retired individuals or people working full time or part time who want to contribute to a vital local charity.
You should have experience providing management support to a team and be comfortable taking an active role within a management group.
You should enjoy problem solving, sharing ideas, and helping improve how services are delivered.
