Job Description Contracts Manager 07/01/2026 Job Description:

Metlen Energy and Metals is seeking a Contracts Manager to support our M Renewables Division in the UK. This position will report to the Senior Legal Counsel.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract law and management, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a keen interest in renewable energy projects.

Your Role Will Encompass:
  • Support the Legal and Project Teams in drafting, negotiating, and finalising EPC Contracts, O&M Contracts, subcontracts, and supply contracts.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle under supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations by both the Company and counterparties.
  • Work closely with project directors and managers to ensure the Company’s contractual rights are enforced, risks are identified early, and disputes are vyd minimized.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for contract approvals and execution, ensuring compliance with corporate governance and internal procedures.
  • Prepare and issue contractual notices, variations, and extension of time (EOT) communications.
  • Support tender submissions and contract negotiations by providing contractual analysis and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date contract documentation and registers using electronic document management systems.
  • Assist with claims management and dispute resolution, providing analysis and documentation as required.
What You Bring to the Role:
  • Degree in Law (LPC or Solicitors Qualifying Period in progress advantageous).
  • CILEX qualification or 1–3 years’ experience as a paralegal or in a similar contracts role.
  • Experience in EPC contracting, subcontracts, supply contracts, or contract management preferred.
  • Previous in‑house experience desirable but not essential; candidates from private practice with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and commercial principles.
