Job description

We're looking for a Construction Manager to join our Severn Trent Water team based in Wanlip.

Location: Wanlip, Leicester
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As Construction Manager at Wanlip, you'll be contributing to a vital project that enhances resilience and capacity for over 2.4 million people. What will you be responsible for?

As a Construction Manager, you'll be working within the Severn Trent Water team, supporting them in delivering improved wastewater treatment capabilities. Your day to day will include:

  • Leading site safety initiatives and fostering a positive safety culture through meaningful engagement
  • Managing resources efficiently, including labour, plant, materials and supply chain relationships
  • Collaborating with the Commercial Team on financial management and change control
  • Ensuring all construction activities meet quality standards and project specifications
  • Overseeing progress against established timelines using Last Planner techniques
What are we looking for?
  • You have experience in construction management, particularly within the water or utilities sector
  • You possess relevant safety qualifications such as IOSH Managing Safely and SMSTS
  • You're confident in coordinating multiple teams and nurturing collaborative working relationships
  • You have strong communication skills and can build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • You're comfortable working with project management methodologies and Microsoft Office applications
