Job summary

A leading leisure and tourism company in the UK is seeking a Conservation Ranger to manage and maintain the forest landscape at their Village. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of wildlife, be enthusiastic, and possess strong communication skills for interacting with guests. Key responsibilities include landscape maintenance, assisting with forest management, and adhering to health and safety standards. This role offers a pay rate of £13.47 per hour with a flexible working schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Must have an NVQ Level 2 in Countryside and Environment or Forest Management or equivalent experience.
  • A good knowledge of wildlife with a personal interest in a specific study group.
  • Previous experience using agricultural, forestry and horticultural machinery.
  • Full Driving Licence held for a minimum of 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Village’s grounds in accordance with the Forest Management Plan.
  • Perform general landscape maintenance and assist forestry team.
  • Liaise with guests daily regarding grounds maintenance.
