An established hospitality venue in Tees Valley is seeking a full-time Conference and Events Services Manager on a fixed-term contract. The role includes operational management of various events, ensuring quality standards, customer satisfaction, and compliance with health and safety guidelines. Ideal candidates will possess strong leadership, planning, and organisational skills along with proven experience in the hospitality industry. Flexibility for evening and weekend work is essential.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Conference and Events Services Manager to join the Hospitality team on a fixed term contract, with responsibility for the operational management and delivery of our conference and events business at the Riverside Stadium. This will include corporate and private functions such as lunches, dinners, weddings, Christmas events, conferences, presentations, exhibitions, training events, sales promotions and product launches.
THE ROLE:
To manage the conference and events operation’s budget, ensuring staffing resources are efficiently deployed and equipment is effectively maintained.
To take responsibility for recruitment, training, development and performance management of all conference and events staff, ensuring appropriate records are maintained and legal guidelines adhered to.
To handle all customer complaints or enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
To ensure all activities comply with necessary health and safety and food hygiene standards.
To maintain presentation standards of cleanliness within each event area, ensuring set up and breakdown is planned accordingly around business requirements, reviewing logistical requirements.
To manage stock control of crockery, cutlery, glassware and consumables within the Hospitality department and report any discrepancies.
