Complex Care Support Worker – Sudbury, Suffolk

Claimont Health has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Complex Care Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker. The role is based in the community supporting an adult client with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and complex health needs requiring a high level of care and support at home.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day care in the client’s home, including suctioning and cough assist.
  • Assist with medication management and ensure accurate recording.
  • Support the client during 2‑line day shifts and 1‑line night shifts.
  • Work with a Clinical Lead Nurse and the operations team to deliver person‑centred care.
  • Maintain clear professional boundaries and adapt support to meet the client and family needs.
  • Transport the client as required, driving safely and providing car access.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of complex care experience with people diagnosed with MND.
  • Proven track record of working with suctioning, cough assist and medication management.
  • UK driving licence and personal car access.
  • Commitment to delivering client‑specific care and meeting professional standards.
  • Experience with high‑level communication skills and sensitivity in challenging situations.
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 related subjects, or equivalent health/social qualifications (e.g., Diploma in health/social subjects).
