Job description

We’re looking for a proactive, driven, and highly organised Communications Assistant to join our team at Agent Academy. Does this sound like you?

You’re someone who thrives on relationship development, organisation and community, and you’re passionate about working in a values driven environment. Energised by communicating our impact and success with the world, you’ll take pride in developing creative social media content that is engaging and reflective of our brand.

You’re someone who excels at building and nurturing our community, from enabling the recruitment of untapped talent to leading the development of our alumni network. You’re hungry to improve your work, grow your knowledge base and contribute to the future growth of our innovative, industry-leading, not-for-profit.

We’re seeking a confident and professional individual who builds trust and connections at every level. You’ll bring enthusiasm, commitment and creativity to the team as we enter an exciting new decade of being the place for future talent.

With a strong set of personal values, you’ll embrace Agent Academy’s people‑first ethos. You’re open and honest, unafraid to ask for help and always ready to support others when needed.

What You’ll Be Doing in this Role

Working closely with the team, you’ll deliver the vision for Agent Academy to be the place for future talent as part of our 3‑year strategic plan to:

  • Seek out untapped talent: attract diverse talent to our programmes; local people who are ambitious, committed and creative but are locked out of industry.
  • Transform learning experiences: innovate and evolve our programme content, delivery and skills development to remain industry‑relevant and deliver high impact for our learners and partners.
  • Align with partners: lead the way with collaboration at the heart of how we work; always delivering results that exceed the expectation of our partners.
  • Realise Impact: solve the talent challenges experienced by employers by ensuring our learners land high‑value, secure careers.
Marketing and Event Coordination

You’ll be key in ensuring we’re effectively sharing our programmes and their impact, from capturing content to updating on recruitment cycles. You’ll coordinate the delivery of high‑quality social media campaigns and impactful events, ensuring all communication aligns with our objectives.

Executive and General Support

Providing executive support to the Head of Programmes, you’ll manage diaries, coordinate meetings, communicate with our industry partners and support business development initiatives. As the first point of contact for enquiries, you’ll maintain our HubSpot database, ensuring detailed records and a clean, up‑to‑date system to support relationship management.

Recruitment and Outreach

You’ll lead recruitment efforts by building strong relationships with referral partners, attending relevant events and exhibitions and engaging young people from diverse backgrounds. You’ll adopt a proactive approach, continually seeking new opportunities to build connections and reach under‑represented groups.

Alumni and Partnership Engagement

You’ll develop and nurture our alumni network through well‑planned events, mentoring opportunities and networking initiatives that foster long‑term connections and impact. You’ll also support the development of lasting relationships with our partners, ensuring that recruitment partners effectively connect their employment opportunities to our talent.

Representing Agent Academy

You’ll be a confident networker, attending events and conferences to gain insights and create opportunities for Agent Academy.

Operation Support

You’ll support the smooth running of daily operations, managing activities such as organizing meetings, booking spaces and ensuring clear communication with industry speakers. You’ll also assist with funding contract management by tracking deliverables, ensuring compliance with funding terms and maintaining relationships with funding bodies.

Project Coordination

Using project management tools like Asana and Basecamp, you’ll support project plans and deliverables, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Your organisational skills will ensure smooth execution of our project work.

You’ll Need to Have
  • A strong desire and passion for building a career in marketing and communications.
  • Great interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Demonstrable commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, with an unrivalled passion for enabling others to reach their potential.
  • Understanding of the ever‑changing creative, digital and tech landscape.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – you’ll be expected to communicate in an articulate, accurate and succinct manner to get your point across.
  • A pragmatic yet creative approach to your work.
  • A proactive mindset and a strong ability to use your initiative to make things happen.
