Job Objective

To support the delivery of internal and external communications that promote MJ Quinn’s brand, culture, and strategic initiatives. This role is essential in maintaining consistent messaging and supporting the Communications Manager in daily operations.

Working Hours

Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

Salary

£24,000-28,000 p/a

Department Overview

The Communications Department at MJ Quinn plays a pivotal role in shaping and sharing the company’s voice—both internally and externally. As a central function within the business, the team ensures that all messaging reflects MJ Quinn’s values, supports operational goals, and strengthens engagement across all levels of the organisation.

Principle Accountabilities

This is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform various tasks as required by your evolving role within the organisation and overall business objectives. This job description will be updated in alignment with company activities and role development.

Internal Communications
  • Maintain and update the Quinntranet and notice boards.
  • Assist in drafting and distributing companywide updates and bulletins.
  • Support field communications via text systems and monitor suggestion inboxes.
External Communications
  • Help manage social media channels and respond to public feedback.
  • Create engaging website content and assist with digital campaigns.
  • Contribute to communication packs for pitches, job fairs, and media outreach.
Community Engagement
  • Attend outreach events at schools, colleges, and universities.
  • Support charity partnerships and community initiatives.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Experience with social media and basic design tools.
  • Organisational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with video editing is a plus.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential.
