Brighton and Sussex Medical School is seeking an enthusiastic general practitioner to contribute to the delivery and development of general practice and generalist medical teaching for undergraduate medical students. The post-holder will contribute largely to the design and delivery of teaching, both in core clinical and communication skills and specialty general practice content.
They will also support the broader team in the recruitment, support and quality control of general practice placements and a network of GP teachers. They will also contribute to the development of innovative learning and assessment materials relating to general practice and integrated clinical care across the curriculum, to ensure that these are relevant and up to date.
The post would suit a practising GP wishing to develop a portfolio career with a substantial educational component within the Brighton and Sussex Medical School community of educators.
You will have the skills to manage your own workload and at times, support other colleagues. You will communicate clearly with the team, line management, and stakeholders. Some travel to GP practices may be required. While we wish to appoint at 0.4FTE in the first instance, there may be flexibility a later stage.
