A leading UK healthcare provider is seeking a Clinical Lead for Theatres in Plymouth. The role involves supporting the Theatre Manager, ensuring patient safety and engaging clinical leadership. The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to high standards of care. We are looking for a Clinical Leader for our Hospital to help us build a healthier nation. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you have the relevant qualifications and post registration in surgery/anaesthetics experience, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner.
With strong clinical leadership, you will guide your team a shared vision promoting innovation and sustainability. As a clinical leader, you will have good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team, knowledge and understanding of running a smooth & effective department equipment is also essential.
Ideally, you will hold a Level 5 qualification in Leadership (or equivalent experience), reflecting your commitment to professional development and high standards of team management.
Conduct and organise the Clinical/Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, which includes the smooth running of the theatre lists and organising booking forms and assisting sessions in theatres.

The Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital is situated next to the Nuffield Health Devonshire Gym, in Derriford, Plymouth and we have been part of the Plymouth community since 1971. We have 3 main theatres – 2 laminar flow and 1 digital, a fully JAG accredited endoscopy suite, a 35‑beded ward with one 4‑beded bay and one 2‑beded bay. Our outpatients department has 12 consulting rooms. We carry out treatment under a range of specialities including Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery and Neurosurgery. We recently were rated in the top 50 hospitals in the country for our total hip replacement patient outcomes.
