About the role

QbTest is a class 1 medical device designed by Qbtech. It is a validated objective-based quantified behavioural assessment which measures the three core domains of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). QbTest is well established and is widely used across the NHS in child and adolescent as well as adult health services. The clinical advisor sits within the commercial team and will be responsible for expanding the customer’s knowledge of appropriate applications and usage of the products and services provided by Qbtech, with a primary focus on QbTest. The clinical advisor will be responsible for training customers how to administer QbTest to their patients and how to interpret QbTest reports. Clinical advisors will also train clinicians how to utilise the QbTest results as part of their diagnostic decision making and treatment follow up of ADHD. As part of the role, the clinical advisor will be responsible for travelling to various services regionally to conduct face-to-face, in-house training, as well as providing remote training via virtual platforms from home and/or office.

Essential Duties and responsibilities
  • The clinical advisor role sits within the commercial team and is responsible for driving and enhancing customer test volumes.
  • Train administrators on how to appropriately standardise the clinical environment and administer QbTest to patients to ensure valid test results.
  • Train clinicians on how to appropriately interpret the clinical reports and embed the results with other assessment information to ensure accurate diagnostic decision making.
  • Liaise with clinical leads and service managers to determine how QbTest can best be utilised in the service to improve clinical efficiency and patient experience.
  • Ensure efficient and regular correspondence with customers as first point of contact between service and Qbtech.
  • Respond timely, within 24 hours, for clinical and operational questions that could impact test performance and usage.
  • Maintain relationships with customers, ensuring appropriate training is scheduled and organised.
  • Analyse customer usage reports to determine opportunities for improving clinical efficiency, and utilisation of Qbtech products.
  • Work with management in determining action plans as appropriate.
  • Work with sales department to assist in demonstrations of system and clinical explanation of research and usage.
  • Act as a liaison between customer and medical department for research initiatives and data collection as appropriate.
  • Work with quality department to identify and help improve customers who are outliers in regard to quality assurance measures.

  • Provide support to customers via clinical consultation calls to assist clinicians in interpreting QbTest results of their patients.
Authorities for Position
  • Run regular checks on customer’s usage within the QAT to include testing and retesting.
  • Conduct trainings of clinicians in using QbTest.
  • Review patient QbTest reports as part of improving service and quality assurance for customers (e.g. within a clinical support call or part of team review).
  • Discuss trends within clinic with sales, management and technical to help improve customer experience.
Competency Required for Position
  • Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication.
  • Must have a desire to improve ADHD pathways within the NHS, including assisting services with increasing efficiency, decreasing waitlists and improving patient experiences within the ADHD pathway.
  • Must be qualified and have experience making diagnostic decisions regarding ADHD including, but not limited to, knowledge of DSM‑V diagnostic criteria and relevant professional standards.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional organisational skills.
  • Must be able to work independently, taking responsibility for own case load, but equally, work as part of a dynamic team of Clinical Advisors.
  • Must demonstrate strong presentation and training skills including adaptability to various professional environments.
  • Must be flexible outside of regular working hours for travel.
  • Must be comfortable presenting content via virtual platforms with enthusiasm and able to keep participants interested and engaged.
  • Experience with Power Point and ability to learn how to utilise Qbtech’s CRM platform.
Qualifications Required for Position
  • A registered clinician from a nursing, psychology or allied health professional background who has a minimum 12‑month post‑qualifying experience and has a current membership to a UK recognised regulatory professional body (e.g. NMC, HCPC).
  • Degree level or higher qualification in a relevant field.
  • Fluency in German is preferred but not required.
  • 1 year clinical experience in diagnosis and assessment of mental health disorders / neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • A minimum 1 year experience in research is desirable for the role.
  • Full UK drivers license with no history of bans.
  • An enhanced DBS background check will be completed at the point of job offer.
Work Environment

The role is full time, 40 hours per week. 2‑3 days a week will involve training/presentations for customers. This may be conducted remotely via Zoom/Teams platforms or domestic/regional travel. The clinical advisor will be responsible for making their own travel arrangements which may include overnight stays/booking of hotels, and arranging travel via trains, planes, taxis and/or driving, where applicable. International travel may occur during the year occasionally. Travel expenses will be covered by Qbtech.
