Job description

Rural Health Group, a multi-location Community Health Center in northeastern North Carolina, is seeking a Clinical Administrative Assistant for a full-time position at our clinic in Enfield, NC.

Key responsibilities include answering phones and managing documents—scanning, filing, etc. of forms and records. The role involves timely data entry in RHG and NC systems; excellent computer skills and typing ability are essential. Excellent customer service and a team-oriented approach to care are also crucial. Hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00/5:30 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing quality metrics and conducting pre-visit planning
  • Making, tracking, and following up on referrals
  • Assisting with patient tracking and recalls
  • Managing documents, including daily scanning
  • Ordering medical and office supplies
  • Providing relief for front desk staff as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred outpatient medical office experience
  • Excellent organizational, telephone, and communication skills
  • Ability to work well with the public and provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a potentially stressful environment
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed written or oral instructions
  • Good judgment in responsibilities
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, providers, coworkers, and superiors
  • Knowledge of modern office equipment and Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to quickly learn electronic health record/medical practice management systems (scheduling, registration, data entry, etc.)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus; applicants may be required to take a language assessment if serving in a translating capacity
