About H. W. (Traffic Management) Ltd

We provide data‑led, traffic management services within a temporary environment. Put simply, we guide vehicles around roadworks in the safest, most efficient way possible whilst permanent improvements are made to the country’s highways.

We collate data to find ways of making the temporary traffic management strategies we deploy as safe, swift and synchronised as possible.

We also provide an emergency traffic management intervention on behalf of our clients in the event of a situation that poses an immediate risk to health, life, property or the environment. For example, in the event of widespread flooding.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Ensure all work complies with approved construction drawings, method statements, risk assessments (RAMS), and site quality standards.
  • Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and safety inspections to maintain a strong safety culture.
  • Monitor progress against plans, report issues or delays, and assist in developing corrective action plans.
  • Check that all materials, plant, and equipment are available and fit for purpose before work begins.
  • Ensure that all workers under supervision are trained, competent, and authorised for their tasks.
  • Maintain accurate daily records including labour, plant, materials used, and work completed.
  • Identify and report hazards, near misses, and unsafe acts or conditions through the site reporting system.
  • Support quality assurance by completing inspections, ensuring proper concrete testing, rebar checks, and recording as‑built data.
  • Liaise with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, environmental, logistics) to coordinate safe and efficient delivery of works.
  • Promote continuous improvement, efficiency, and right‑first‑time delivery in all civil works.
  • Support environmental compliance by minimising waste, preventing pollution, and ensuring correct use of spill response procedures.
