Civil Quality Control & Methods Engineer

Intertek is looking for a Civil Quality Control & Methods Engineer for a 2‑year major project in Liverpool Bay. The selected profile will participate and supervise quality control activities during the facilities execution phase, ensuring they meet the required quality standards during civil works.

Responsibilities
  • To verify that the requirements of the Project Quality Plan and ITP are satisfied by project/facilities execution activities, making sure project technical integrity is met
  • Verify that Vendors/Contractors Quality Control documents are in accordance with Project Requirements
  • Ensure that Civil activities are performed in accordance to the Project/Package Quality Control System
  • Ensure a proper reporting on Quality Control data
  • Provide support for the adequate and continuous assessments of the Quality capabilities and performances of contractors
  • Assist in the resolution of quality related problems
  • Partecipate/Supervise Civil QC activities (inspections as per approved QCP's) within Construction Sites and workshops
  • Develop Civil QC procedures and forms required for inspection, release and non‑conformance management
  • Verify/review Quality Control related documents produced by Contractors/Vendors
  • Ensure availability of an adequate number of inspectors and with adequate skills
  • Verify that all Civil QC verifications are performed in accordance with the approved Inspection and Test Plans
  • Partecipate to Site Quality meetings
  • Carrying out technical audits to Vendors and Contractors
  • Dealing with third party validation and certification authorities
  • To identify quality problems providing to the project team recommended corrective and preventive actions
  • Produce Quality reports on QC related matters and escape/advise on any critical issues related to QC
