6 hours a week term time – 8 hours a week school holidays
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Children’s Support Assistant to provide one-to-one support to a 7‑year‑old girl with autism and ADHD. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and who enjoys delivering engaging, child‑led activities in both home and community settings.
The child enjoys painting, soft play and sensory-based activities, and the successful applicant will be confident in using these interests to support emotional regulation, social development and positive engagement. Care will be primarily delivered in the family home, with regular opportunities to access the local community, including leisure and recreational activities.
The position offers 6 hours per week during term time, increasing to 8 hours per week during school holidays. Flexibility and reliability are essential. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required to support community-based activities.
This role would suit a professional, caring and adaptable individual with experience of, or a strong interest in, supporting children with autism and ADHD. In return, we offer a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact, develop specialist skills and work within a supportive, person-centred care environment.
