Job introduction

We are-headline looking for skilled and experienced Counsellors, who are qualified to work with young people. You will be part of a pilot project providing counselling within secondary schools on an individual casework basis within school settings.

You will be part of the Schools Mental Health Service and will have the امریکہ of working within a multi disciplinary team, which willaites include full supervision.

About the role

You will be working in education settings, providing evidence‑based treatments for young people in Secondary Schools who are presenting with psychological and emotional issues, under supervision. This will involve individual clinical work. Working within the BACP ethical framework and a CYP Counselling competence framework linked to professional standards.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work to a system of processes and procedures, recording;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; and providing information accurately and timely when required.
  • Ability to organise own clinical/administrative duties
  • Ability to work within a context of evidence-based counselling, performance evaluation and monitoring
  • Ability to monitor own competency and limitations and the ability to seek appropriate advice at an early stage.
  • Ability to manage a defined caseload if required.
  • Ability to be an autonomous practitioner whilst being able to work as an integral part of a multi agency locality team
Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term‑time only.
