Job Overview

Food Type: Fine dining and modern brasserie. Accommodation is available. Lakeside Hotel & Spa on the Southern shores of Windermere (1 mile from Newby Bridge) is owned by Classic Lodges. We have 73 luxury bedrooms, fine dining restaurant, brasserie, pool, spa and conference suite overlooking the lake. We have a friendly team and are looking for positive and enthusiastic individuals to come on board.

Key Duties & Skills
  • Good organisational skills; comfortable working in a high-level pressured environment.
  • Follow and manage all HACCAP procedures with the kitchen management team.
  • All orders are checked and accounted for freshness and quality.
  • Ensure training and standards are always kept.
  • Ensure staffing levels are kept to correct business levels.
  • Run an organised efficient clean section.
  • Highest levels of hygiene and safety maintained at all times.
  • Full awareness of all menu items, recipes, methods of production and presentation standards.
  • Uphold the team SOPs given to you.
  • Help develop our kitchen garden and growing cycles.
  • Support other team members across the kitchen.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Committed and hungry to progress and grow your skills.
  • Having a rosette background will be advantageous.
Qualifications

At least 2 years’ experience as Chef de Partie or a comparable role. Attention to detail is a must, with the ability to work in a calm and professional manner whilst running your own kitchen section. Flexible approach, willingness to learn new techniques, ability to work independently as well as a true team player.

Salary & Hours

Hourly rate – £11.85- £12.40, depending on experience.

Full time, average of 40 hours per week.
