Mount Eveswell is looking to recruit a Chef to join the team. This is a part time role of 31 hours.
Mount Eveswell is located in Newport, Wales. The home provides residential and nursing support for 16 males and females with an acquired brain injury (ABI) and other neurological conditions, including those with a traumatic brain injury (TBI) or a progressive neurological condition (PNC), including motor neurone disease (MND), multiple sclerosis (MS) or Huntington's disease.
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you’re assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

The role holder will be numerate, literate, and qualified to NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds standard, with an advanced food catering certificate. They will work to agreed short-term objectives where the impact of their judgements is immediately clear. The role requires the ability to adapt thinking, problem-solve effectively, and demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, organisation, and time management skills. First-class customer service is essential. The role holder will also have at least three years’ experience of preparing and cooking meals in a large professional kitchen environment.
