Job description
Overview

Job Type: Full Time

Trust is one of Scotland’s leading social landlords and care providers, with over 50 years’ experience of providing high-quality, affordable homes and delivering exceptional services. We are a national organisation rooted in our communities, with growth from 2,500 to almost 4,000 homes since 2019. We specialise in housing and services for households of all ages, including general needs and mid-market rent, and are one of the country’s largest providers of housing, care, and support for later living. We are a values-driven organisation that cares about customers and communities and places people at the heart of everything we do.

We are now seeking to appoint an outstanding CEO. This is an exciting time to lead Trust as we reach the end of our current business strategy. The strategy has been transformational, underpinned by technology, and the next strategy (from 2026 onwards) provides an opportunity to build on these capabilities and lead Trust into a new chapter.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Board, you will provide strategic leadership, shape and deliver our vision, and inspire a culture that reflects our values. You will strive for exceptional customer and colleague experiences, ensure responsible and sustainable action, and continue to achieve our purpose while remaining commercially astute. You will work with the Board and Leadership Team to set and deliver our long-term strategy, strengthen financial resilience and governance, and thrive in an evolving and challenging environment. You will lead a high-performing senior team, drive growth, embrace digital innovation, and foster strong external partnerships that expand our horizons and bring new ideas and perspectives. This is a pivotal leadership role requiring vision, boldness and the ability to influence at the highest level. You will bring a proven record as a senior leader in a complex, people-centred organisation, with the skills to balance social impact with financial sustainability. You will be adept at building strong relationships, guiding change and championing digital transformation, and ensuring that Trust continues to set new standards.

Qualifications and attributes

We are looking for a visionary and modern leader who shares our values, and is ready to take Trust forward with confidence, integrity and ambition.
