A local primary school in the United Kingdom is seeking a part-time caretaker with caretaking experience to maintain the cleanliness of the premises. Working hours are 17.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Candidates should be familiar with cleaning tools and willing to learn about health and safety in cleaning processes. Post type: Part‑time permanent.
Working weeks per year: 42 weeks.
Holiday entitlement: Pro‑rated holiday (includes public holidays) – 6.1 weeks (paid weeks: 48.1).
Pay Scale: Scale 3. Point 5 – £25,583.30 – £25,989.90 full‑time; part‑time gross salary: £11,162.64 – £11,339.61 per year. Employees paid monthly in equal instalments.
Probationary period: Six months for new employees with the Diocese of Chelmsford Vine Schools Trust.

The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the school premises, including handling cleaning tools and chemicals, ensuring health and safety standards, and working closely with the Vine Trust estates team, the cleaner and the headteacher.
Will work during each week of term time excluding non‑pupil days. Holiday is taken during school closure periods; no holiday during term time.
Has caretaking experience.
