Job description
A little bit about us

In the peaceful town of Inverurie, Grove Care Home provides a close-knit, supportive environment with a commitment to personalised care. As part of Meallmore, Scotland’s most trusted care provider, we consistently deliver excellent care in great places to live and work. Become a valued team member where each resident’s well‑being is our highest priority.

As a Care Assistant with Meallmore you’ll help residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve. You’ll assist with daily living, providing support and companionship – and sharing great moments and memories too. It’s a chance to bring your dedication and compassion to a fulfilling environment. Every day will be different, so you can expect to undertake work that’s as varied as it is rewarding.

The type of support that you would be providing is no different to what would reasonably be given by a member of the person’s family.

Salary: £12.60 - £12.82 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Bank opportunities (as and when required)

Competitive benefits + overtime rates

Your role and responsibilities
  • Ensuring the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting residents, with washing, dressing, mealtimes and all other aspects of daily living.
  • Promoting residents' independence and well‑being.
  • Monitoring residents' health conditions, liaising with relatives and colleagues.
  • Supporting residents in physical and social activities, getting to know their interests, and needs so they can lead their best life possible, by understanding what means most to them as an individual.
What we are looking for
  • You'll need to have a naturally caring and kind nature.
  • Have excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Patience and empathy when dealing with challenging situations.
