This role exists for one reason: to raise capital properly.

This is not finance ops.

This is not bookkeeping.

This is not “introductions if it works out.”

If this hire is wrong, the company raises poorly — or not at all.

You Own:
  • Capital strategy from pre‑seed → seed
  • Investor targeting, positioning, and narrative
  • Fundraising process, pacing, and leverage
  • Knowing when to raise — and when not to

You control the raise.

You Should Already Have:
  • A track record raising capital (startup, VC, angels, family offices, PE)
  • Warm investor relationships you can activate
  • Strong judgement on valuation and timing
  • The confidence to walk away from bad money
  • Credibility in investor rooms

If you haven’t raised before, this is not the role.

This Is Not:
  • A learning opportunity
  • A networking exercise
