Experience
  • Comms, PR, or marketing experience, including social media, event promotion, or media outreach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Media Research & Outreach
    • Compile targeted media lists (national, regional, trade press, HR, business, social impact, justice reform).
    • Draft press releases to coincide with film launches, regional screenings, or partnership milestones.
    • Pitch stories to journalists highlighting the employer benefits of second‑chance hiring.
    • Draft op‑eds or thought‑leadership pieces for CIPD Trust, IJP, and supportive employer spokespeople.
  • Social Media Strategy & Execution
    • Create a social calendar for campaign milestones (film releases, screening dates, toolkit drops).
    • Draft engaging posts for LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
    • Source or create visual assets (short clips, graphics, quote cards).
    • Monitor engagement, respond to comments (where appropriate), and flag meaningful interactions.
    • Identify relevant hashtags, influencers and supportive campaigns to align with.
  • Content Development
    • Draft blog posts, case studies and employer stories for IJP/CIPD Trust websites.
    • Interview employers who already hire former prisoners and produce compelling written case studies.
    • Turn longer written reports into accessible summaries or shareable graphics.
    • Help refine messaging to ensure it’s evidence‑based, destigmatising and employer‑centric.
  • Newsletter & Email Communication
    • Draft email updates for partners, supporters, and participating employers.
    • Build segmented mailing lists (e.g. HR professionals, diversity & inclusion leads, business networks).
    • Create templates for event invitations, announcements, and post‑event follow‑ups.
