Overview

We are on the hunt for an experienced Café and Hospitality Team Lead to join our team. Our café is a much-loved hidden gem in the centre of Bristol, tucked away in the woodland landscape. This is a fantastic opportunity to define and expand our offer, leading the café team to welcome visitors and help the community share and enjoy this incredibly special place.

If you have a flare for food, knowledge of hospitality operations and care about heritage, this job is for you.

We operate a unique model: while still a working cemetery, we balance visitor access with nature and heritage, inspiring people through our public engagement programme. To support our charitable objectives, we run income-generating events for visitors, operate an in-house café, shop, offer venue hire and weddings. We also host various events and are a popular filming location. As a charity, it is essential that we generate income to protect and enhance this special place for future generations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the café and hospitality team to deliver high-quality guest experiences.
• Develop and expand our offer in line with heritage, community engagement and charitable objectives.
• Coordinate events, venue hire and wedding bookings alongside day-to-day café operations.
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to maintain safety, standards and service excellence.
• Represent the organization to visitors, partners and Suppliers to support fundraising and income generation.
