Job summary

A dynamic manufacturing company in Sheffield is seeking a CAD/CAM Engineer Apprentice for a Level 3 apprenticeship program. This role involves designing and creating CAD models, programming CNC machines, and ensuring high-quality standards are met. Applicants should have GCSEs in English and Maths and ideally some experience with CAD/CAM software. The position offers hands-on experience and the chance to learn directly from industry professionals, alongside training at the AMRC Training Centre.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and engineer high-quality models using CAD tools.
• Turn customer models into usable CAD data for CNC machines.
• Create toolpaths using CAM software.
• Maintain CNC machines and ensure product quality.
• Liaise with customers to meet their requirements.

Skills

Punctuality and good attendance

Able to work in a team and independently

Experience of CAD & CAM software

Ability to read engineering drawings

Education

GCSE English language C or 4 or above

GCSE Maths C or 4 or above

Autodesk Powershape

CAM software
