At Siemens eMobility Charging, we are seeking a highly motivated and results‑driven Business Development Manager to join our UK team. This is a pivotal role for an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of securing new business within the public EV charging operator sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify, research, and target new public charging operators and resellers across the UK by executing sales plans to penetrate new accounts and expand market share.
  • Lead the ESO entire sales cycle from initial prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and contract closure.
  • Generate a robust pipeline of opportunities, consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Conduct compelling presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, effectively articulating our value proposition.
  • Build and nurture strong, long‑lasting relationships with key stakeholders, decision‑makers, and influencers within target organizations.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes within the UK public EV charging sector.
  • Provide valuable market feedback to internal teams (product, marketing, engineering) to inform future strategy and product development.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including tendering, technical support, legal, and project management, to ensure seamless client engagement and successful project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progression within Salesforce CRM.
  • Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts and reports to management.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven business development and sales experience in a B2B environment.
  • Demonstrable experience selling to UK‑based public charging operators and resellers (e.g., charge point operators, value‑added resellers, fleet operators with public charging infrastructure).
  • Strong "hunter" mentality with a track record of identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand complex technical solutions and articulate the business value to non‑technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in using Salesforce CRM for pipeline management, activity logging, and reporting.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK as required.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Existing network of contacts within the UK public EV charging ecosystem.
  • Understanding of EV charging technologies, standards, and industry challenges.
