Business Development Manager – Eaton

What You’ll Do
  • Achieve or surpass UK Telecom sales, orders, and standard profit percentage targets.
  • Support the broader ES ROS target through strategic account management.
  • Focus heavily on acquiring new telecom clients while continuing to develop and cultivate existing customer relationships within your territory.
  • Lead customer engagement with agreed operators and integrators, ensuring growth in pipeline and sales volume across Eaton’s telecom offerings.
  • Serve as the primary contact and hold direct sales responsibility for Eaton’s Direct Current telecom solutions in the UK region for designated accounts.
  • Position Eaton’s telecom portfolio and brand within emerging technologies and market trends.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to key decision‑makers, building long‑term relationships that drive loyalty and mutual success.
  • Collaborate with Business Units and local sales teams to ensure timely responses to all technical and commercial correspondence from the region.
  • Drive specification of Eaton products within operator, reseller, installer, and integrator frameworks across your territory.
  • Lead technical solution discussions with senior consultants and operator technical leads.
  • Identify new market segment opportunities and develop business cases to support expansion.
  • Maintain strong familiarity with Eaton’s full range of electrical products.
  • Stay informed on competitor technologies, strategies, and pricing within your channel.
  • Engage clients early in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure new products meet annual sales quotas.
  • Submit monthly reports to your direct manager, including sales forecasts, product forecasts, and competitor activity updates.
Qualifications
  • Degree qualification or equivalent / outstanding proven technical ability
  • Five to Ten years experience

  • Solid understanding of and relationships with UK Telecom Operators & Telecom Stakeholders
  • A proactive “hunter” mindset — commercially driven and sales‑focused, ideally with current experience in manufacturing and a strong understanding of UK telecom opportunities.
